The mao collar, Mandarin or stand-up collar. All the same name for this type of collar. Shirts with this type of collar originated from the 17th century where they were already worn by Chinese/Mandarin government officials.
This type of collar is perfect for work shirts as it does not get in the way. Traditionally, it was also used for these types of shirts. So it also has a more casual look than 'normal' collars.
