How do jeans sizes work

Jeans sizes are indicated in inches. The first number refers to the waist size, in this case 38 which is equivalent to 96.5 cm. The second number is the length size, which in this case is 36. Converted into centimeters this is 91.4 cm. Length size 36 is often for the tall man with an above average height from 1.95 meters.

How to measure yourself

You do this with a measuring tape. With it, measure the circumference of your hips, waist, and upper thighs. Do not forget to measure the length of your inner legs. Has this all been done? Consult the size chart afterwards for the correct size. The circumference of your upper thigh is particularly important when buying a skinny-fit jeans or slim-fit jeans.

What are width sizes

The width size can be recognized by the first digit of the size combination. With jeans this is therefore 38/36. A width size is based on a waist size.

What are length sizes

This is easy to measure! Measure with a tape measure from your crotch to the spot where you want the trouser leg to sit. Consult a size chart to determine your trouser length in the end.
