History of the Barbour Bedale jacket

In 1980, Barbour produced their first short lightweight jacket, the Barbour Bedale. Originally designed for horse riding, it is a favorite among many Brits, including royalty and pop stars.

Application

Designed with many practical aspects for equestrian sports in mind; a relaxed fit, rear ventilation openings, and made of 6oz mediumweight waxed cotton. In addition, it can be fully tailored to your preference by the thermal lining that can zip in and a hood that can be attached using snap buttons. This Barbour Bedale jacket is therefore the ideal jacket to wear all year round.

Features

The classic elements such as a brass dividing zipper, a studded windbreaker, two large flap pockets, and 2 pockets lined with moleskin to keep your hands nice and warm are all added. And of course, this Barbour Bedale classic jacket is also equipped with the characteristic corduroy collar.

Fun facts to know are that this jacket consists of: 160 parts, including 49 cut pieces of fabric, 8 pockets, and that during production 36 people work on the Bedale in the Barbour factory in South Shields.

Fit: Regular fit Material: 100% waterproof, waxed cotton
